Buddies Story Program
“There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child.
There are seven million.”
This profound thought forms the basis of the Buddies Program.
Developed for children from the age of 2.5 to 6.5 years, here stories come alive to fire up imagination, instill values, and create interest in the oral and written word. It sets a strong foundation for building public speaking skills.
A gamut of interesting and very varied activities enrich the program.
Enthusiasts Story Program
"Every block of stone has a statue inside it, and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it!"
We strongly believe that every child has natural strengths, which if discovered and developed, can take the child to great heights of confidence and self worth.
Our story program for children in the age group of 6-10 years, offers an environment where children easily shed their inhibitions, discover their potential and take leaps of faith, raising the bar for themselves each and every time.
This program is clearly driven by the enthusiasm of our Enthusiasts, who are encouraged to create their own story sessions, provided opportunities to build their own stories, develop or suggest scripts, and participate in a variety of drama activities on a regular basis.
The results of this program have been very encouraging.
Grand Story Program
"Simple moments shared between grandparents and grandchildren often become priceless memories"
This simple truth, happened spontaneously in earlier times. But is increasingly rare in today's world.
Our Grand Story Program seeks to provide an environment, where children take time out from their busy schedules to spend precious and memorable moments with their grandparents. Grandparents in turn come out of their daily routine and strengthen their bond with the young ones.
Stories in English, and in Indian languages to suit audience preferences, and together-to-do fun activities enrich the Grand Story Program.
This program has been widely appreciated for helping nurture the bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
"Puppets are no child's play"
Puppet plays are more than 3000 years old. Yet they continue to be used even in today's electronic and gadget age.
Puppets create an impact! That too effortlessly. In an entertaining way.
We effectively integrate puppet plays into our story sessions to convey values, life skills, drive change and boost social skills.
Social Responsibility & Awareness Creation Story Program
"Stories are memory aids, instruction manuals and moral compasses"
Stories by their very nature can teach, without the preach.
Important topics such as Waste Segregation, Road Safety, Resource Conservation are effectively communicated, imbibed and practised through suitable stories.
Healthy Habits and Dental Hygiene are two other focus areas at Story ki Bory®.
Whether you are an automobile company seeking to advocate Road Safety as part of your CSR, or a school that is serious about dental awareness, our story programs can definitely support.
Teacher Training Program
"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn"
As the education system undergoes a metamorphosis worldwide, the power of stories and storytelling in education is being rediscovered and applied.
Stories involve different parts of our brain, which makes learning (and remembering) more effective. Hence stories have the power to enhance learning and are a great educational tool.
Storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it. This precisely makes storytelling extremely effective as the world moves away from rote learning.
Our Teacher Training Program is offered in two modules - Introductory and In Depth.
The theory and practical exercises enable participants to unleash story power, and apply it successfully in classrooms.
Themed Story Program
“Very young children love and demand stories, and can understand complex matters presented as stories, when their powers of comprehending general concepts, paradigms, are almost nonexistent.”
From themes like bravery, friendship, food and festivals, to emotions, animals, and seasons, our theme based story programs cover an extensive portfolio. With stories from India and around the world, traditional and contemporary, from folk tales and fables to stories that inspire, our sessions are set to capture the minds and hearts of young and old alike. Activities based on the themes are equally varied, ranging from games, art, craft, jokes, riddles, quizzes, cooking, drama, role play, singing and dancing.
Pratham Books Champion - One Day One Story Program
The 'One Day One Story' is an annual storytelling campaign launched by Pratham Books and runs around the International Literacy Day. As a Pratham Books Champion, Story ki Bory® has conducted story sessions and book based activities since 2014.
Senior Citizens Story Program
“To connect to people at the deepest level, you need stories.”
After running three successful innings of annual storytelling programs with young children, we at Story ki Bory® discovered an audience that was not so apparent - the senior citizens.
On studying this non obvious group, our observations made it clear that stories would help connect and heal.
What were the observations?
- Retired, but healthy individuals had plenty of time on hand, but wondered how to spend this time
- Individuals with health issues and those with limited mobility, had reduced levels of social interactions
- Individuals who had migrated from their hometowns, had no friends circle to interact with
Our story sessions effectively help address all the above concerns. They work as therapy.
The sessions have stories that are positive, inspiring and humorous. They empower, and encourage reminiscing.
Suitable activities are woven into the story sessions to provide further enrichment.
